A SF Airlines all-cargo plane carrying 90 tons of Atlantic hard-shell lobsters from Halifax, Canada, landed at Hubei Ezhou Huahu International Airport on the 25th, marking the official opening of the "Ezhou-New York-Halifax" cargo route.

According to reports, this route is the first direct cargo route to Canada from Ezhou Huahu International Airport and the 100th cargo route opened by the airport.

The "Ezhou-New York-Halifax" route connects the air cargo hubs of China, the United States and Canada, and is planned to operate 1 to 2 flights per week. The outbound journey mainly carries clothing accessories, electronic products, mechanical electronics and accessories, etc., while the return journey carries fresh seafood, mechanical equipment, accessories, shoes and clothing, and health products, etc.

Since the beginning of this year, Ezhou Huahu International Airport has opened three domestic cargo routes, including Bozhou and Heze, and 12 international cargo routes, including Bangalore and San Salvador, and has completed a cargo and mail throughput of 529,000 tons (including 423,000 tons of air cargo and mail throughput), an increase of 84.9% year-on-year.

Ezhou Huahu International Airport is the first professional cargo hub airport in Asia and the fourth in the world. In the nearly three years since its opening, the airport has introduced 35 airlines and opened a total of 100 cargo routes, including 58 domestic cargo routes and 42 international cargo routes, reaching 15 Asian countries, 10 European countries, 4 American countries, and 1 African country, initially building an international cargo route network radiating the world.

It is reported that with the approval of customs-designated supervision sites and airport bonded logistics centers (Type B) for inbound fruits, edible aquatic animals, chilled aquatic products, meat, and medicines, the newly opened routes of Ezhou Huahu International Airport not only carry traditional cross-border e-commerce goods, but also include more fresh food, medicines, and high-end equipment in the transportation scope.
