According to CCTV News, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade conducted a questionnaire survey of more than 1100 foreign trade enterprises nationwide and announced the research results at a press conference on Monday (April 28).

A survey shows that nearly 50% of foreign trade enterprises have stated that they will reduce their business with the United States, while 75.3% of enterprises plan to expand into emerging markets to compensate for the reduced share of exports to the United States.

According to the survey, the interviewed enterprises generally believe that the frequent changes in tariff policies greatly increase uncertainty, making it difficult for them to make long-term plans. However, with the support of the government's package of stable foreign trade policies, foreign trade enterprises are also actively seeking ways and finding solutions from seeking alternative incremental markets, expanding domestic sales markets, and enhancing supply chain resilience.

Zhao Ping, spokesperson for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that the council will further accelerate the approval process for companies to participate in exhibitions abroad. As of now, 1235 planned overseas exhibition projects for 2025 have been approved, and nearly 10000 pieces of trade information have been published on the Trade Enterprise Platform, helping enterprises to understand changes in overseas markets and find business opportunities in a timely manner.
